In the 1930s and 1940s, waist-length zip jackets offered coverage without the bulk of longer coats, while high-rise, wide-leg trousers left room to bend and move—making the combination practical for both work and everyday life. Bronson now revisits this classic workwear pairing.

Textured cotton fabrics were valued in early workwear for their structure and ability to conceal everyday marks. Unlike corduroy, this 16 oz double-layer woven cotton pique creates raised ridges without a cut pile. A garment wash softens its substantial feel, while salt-and-pepper flecks add depth.

Customer photo review of 1940s Pique Stripe Cotton Cossack Jacket - Coffee

Amazing Jacket. I got a size 38 though my chest is closer to a 42 and the fit is very boxy and roomy still. It fits super comfortable, the jacket feels super strong and robust. It feels and looks both a little luxurious and rugged which I really love since I wear a lot of western clothes. It is my first Bronson Purchase and I am very happy with it still. It shrunk slightly in the dryer which I do not mind but might be worth considering.
